About Dan's Auto llc

Automotive repair and service

Dan's Auto llc is an auto repair shop in St. Petersburg, Florida. It is listed at 2837 21st Ave N, St. Petersburg, FL 33713, which places it among the local businesses of St. Petersburg that residents and visitors turn to when they need this kind of service close by.

In St. Petersburg, shops are busiest on Monday mornings and before holiday weekends, so a mid-week appointment gets a car seen faster. Labor rates across Florida vary by neighborhood and by shop type, from small independents to dealership service bays, and mobile mechanics now cover many routine jobs in the driveway. Before authorizing a repair, ask for the estimate in writing, whether the shop warranties parts and labor (12 months / 12,000 miles is common, some offer more), and whether it can provide a loaner or a shuttle. Check the listing for hours, the makes the shop works on and its Google rating, then call ahead, since walk-in capacity is limited at smaller shops.

The business lists hours on 5 days of the week. The most common schedule is 8 am–5 pm. Note that it does not open on Saturday, Sunday. As with most places, expect changes around holidays; the phone number below is the fastest way to confirm. The listed phone number is (727) 323-1988. Many businesses also reply to text messages on the same number if it is a cell phone. More information is available on its website, dans-autoshop.com.

Customers rate it 4.7 out of 5 on Google across 183 reviews, placing it among the better-regarded auto repair shops in St. Petersburg.

St. Petersburg is in Florida, in the Southeast, where summers are long, hot and humid, winters are mild, and afternoon thunderstorms and the hurricane season from June to November can change plans at short notice. Shop local and skip the franchise shops! The guys here saved me several thousand dollars over 10+ years and three or so cars. In the past few months, I've spoken to Robert a couple times over the phone and he's been so patient and helpful. Highly recommend!

5 stars plus 1 extra star. My brake repair did take days long than expected however, the mechanic did the impossible for my suv with a part that was discontinued by the manufacturer. I thought I would have to get new vehicle which is not an option at all for me. I can’t thank them enough for not giving up and keeping my SUV on the road safely. Totally recommend this place for everyone. Thanks again

Absolute garbage. I brought a vehicle there a few months ago and they got the brakes working so I thought it was a decent shop. This time around I brought my 4Runner there because there was a vibration occurring at and after 40mph when accelerating. They told me it was the brake pads and rotors. They charged me $800 for a tie rod end and front pads/rotors. And he assured me the mechanic drove the vehicle and the vibration was gone. It wasn’t. Vibrating was bad as hell and EASILY noticeable. Turns out it needed drive shaft u joints. I replaced them myself in about an hour for $50 and the vibration is completely gone. I called and told them about what was going on after I got the car back and he told me he would speak to the mechanic and get back with me. Still haven’t got a call back. I would definitely not recommend this place to anyone that hasn’t diagnosed their problem elsewhere and just wants labor done with already purchased parts. Yall HAD a loyal customer till yall pulled that shit. Garbage mechanic.
